How to Make Deep-Dish Almond Brioche French Toast

Looking for a quick Sunday brunch option or holiday breakfast idea? Consider following this recipe for a delicious deep-dish almond brioche french toast that is sure to “wow” guests and satisfy any family member. If, by any chance, all of this yummy meal is not eaten, simply cover with foil, refrigerate, and reheat when desired.

Ingredients:

  • Butter or cooking spray (to coat pan)
  • 24-ounce loaf of Brioche, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 8-ounce package of cream cheese, cut into 18 individual cubes**
  • 3/4 cup chopped almonds
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups of milk**
  • 1/2 cup of firmly packed, dark brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Pinch of cloves
  • 4 Tbsp. melted butter
  • Powered sugar (for serving)
  • Pure maple syrup, warmed (for serving)

  • Using low fat milk and egg substitutes can reduce the fat and cholesterol of this meal by up to 75 percent.
  • Replace the high sugar and calorie content of maple syrup with a sugar free syrup.
  • Replace butter on the pan with: Margarine Spread or Olive Oil.
  • Fruits are a great alternative topping to use. Strawberries, blueberries, or even cherries give your toast a healthful and tasteful outcome.
